What is the Compare Tool?

The Compare tool doesn't just place two price lines next to each other — it builds a brand new chart out of their ratio, and reads that chart's own signal to tell you which one currently has the upper hand.

Two-Way Compare

Pick any two funds, stocks, or indices, and QuantLogIQ divides the first investment's price by the second's, for every overlapping date, to build a single new chart of that ratio. That ratio chart then gets its own Point & Figure treatment — its own X's and O's, its own current signal. If the ratio chart is in a column of X's, the first investment is currently the stronger of the pair.

Multi-Compare (Up to 10 at Once)

Add more than two investments and QuantLogIQ runs this same ratio comparison across every possible pair in the group — effectively a scaled-down version of the RS Matrix, but limited to the specific set you've chosen instead of an entire universe of funds. You get a full pairwise signal grid plus a ranking table showing which investment currently has the most "wins" across all its comparisons.

Why a Ratio, and Not Just Two Lines?

Two separate price lines only tell you what each investment has done on its own. A ratio chart tells you something a plain overlay can't: which one is winning against the other, right now, using the exact same signal logic as every other chart on the platform.

When to Use It

Reach for Compare when deciding between two similar funds (say, two large-cap options), or Multi-Compare when narrowing down a shortlist of several candidates at once.
